Hiring Incentives

A $3000, one time hiring incentive, to be paid in $1,000 increments (not added to base salary).  Eligible newly hired Police Officers and Police Officers First Class will receive an incremental hiring incentive upon satisfactory job performance, after completion of 3 months of service; after completion of 6 months of service; and finally after completion of 12 months of employment for a total of $3,000.

Georgia Peace Officer Certification Incentive will only be provided to those hired as Police Officers.

Annual Salary will start at the work rate of the pay grade 13 for Police Officers, which is currently $36,669 and the work rate of the pay grade 15 for Police Officer First Class, which is currently $39,844.

Additional educational and/or prior military service pay incentives, to be added to base pay, may be earned as follows:
